About Sisters Shutters
I am a native Houstonian and have lived my entire life in Houston and surrounding areas.
My father is the late Larry Kane who was in the entertainment business
and hosted "The Larry Kane Show"; his own version of American Bandstand.
I married Dr. Robert Gohlke in 1983 and have two college aged children.
My shutter experience began in 1999 with Shuttercrafters Inc., a shutter manufacturing company, where I was
the office manager, and it wasn't long before I became a business partner. It was through this experience that
I learned the ins and outs of shutter
manufacturing and gained valuable knowledge regarding sales and the reward of earning customer satisfaction and appreciation.
Working in the manufacturing environment enabled me to recognize a quality product that I would be proud to sell,
as well as display in my own home. I channeled my focus solely in to working directly with the customers, which is
the area of the business I am most passionate about.
My favorite work experiences include providing shutters and working on location to help a deserving family on the show Extreme Makeover
Home Edition. I also was fortunate to get the opportunity to do a segment on HGTV's "I Want That", where I
represented Coronado Block Shutters.
